Diabetes , as a major non-communicable disease, has become a slowly growing epidemic. It used to be common in the elderly but is now increasingly seen in young adults, adolescents and children. In 2019 , approximately 463 million adults aged 20-79 were living with diabetes, and this number is expected to grow exponentially over the next few years. Given the increase in the number of people diagnosed with diabetes and its impact on the health care system, NCD Medical Center hopes to provide some opportunity for health care providers to learn about diabetes management, as they may be the first point of contact for these patients.
Course Topics : Created in partnership with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) , this course uses a variety of patient cases to simulate and explain how to diagnose, treat, and manage patients. The course covers the four related areas of diabetes treatment, management of the diabetes course, use of CGM in primary care , diabetic neuropathy and diabetic foot problems.
